Bay of Fires Beach Walk

Hiking Solo – Gourmet Style

Why is it glossy website tour brochures leave out describing the least memorable tour moments?

It was way past midnight.  I was desperately trying to find a warm pocket somewhere in the depths of my sleeping bag.  The thin walls of my tent were failing to shield me from the freezing cold outside air.

After five hours hiking through parts of North East Tasmania’s most spectacular and remote wilderness, at this late hour why hadn’t my body succumbed to sleep?
